Who Is Living Your Life?

Are You Happy Where You Are?

I Want To Be You.
What Matters Most Is How You See Yourself!

I was sitting across from a client who was in a Breakthrough session with me, and she was telling me why she was unhappy, feeling stuck, and not knowing how to move forward. She did not like her job or herself for that matter. I asked her what it was that she would like to be doing instead. Her reply was ” I want to be you” her exact words. ”I want to do what you do” came rolling out of her mouth. Even though I was flattered by what she had said, because I do get a buzz when my clients breakthrough their limiting beliefs and release their negative emotions. It still left me with a churning in the pitt of my stomach, asking myself questions like:-
Why are women dissatisfied with their lives?
How can we assist them to accept themselves?
Where is this underlying feeling coming from?
What would it take for them to love themselves?
Why do they want to be somebody else?
I have been thinking about this for the past week, and that is why I started this new website – so others can find some sort of comfort in knowing that they are not alone in thinking this way. I too, used to feel that everyone had it all together, knew what they were doing, and were happy doing it, and I was the only one wanting something other than what I had. This wonderful client made me stop and think why I was doing what I was doing.
WordPress Training this weekend has been very informative for me, as it taught me how to make my own Google friendly website using WordPress for my businesses. A work in progress – website not complete yet, although I still decided to take it live, just to show others that everything doesn’t need to be perfect. The website will grow and improve and develop a life of its own in time. I will now be posting updates to help others out there who may be dissatisfied and wondering how to improve their lives.
Who is living your life? Are You? And if not – why not?

The 7 ‘A’s’ Of Survival

February 11, 2015 by Olya Szewczuk Leave a Comment

April 26, 2011 By The Breakthrough Coach
What I Need To Survive – How About You?
A Healthy Self-Esteem, and how to get it.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but what I need to keep myself functioning at a high level so that I am able to give the best of myself to my children, grandchildren, family and friends, is a good dose of acceptance, accountability, affection, affirmation, appreciation, approval and attention, which I call the 7 ‘A’s’. When I am full of these 7 ‘A’s’ I am then also, able to give to all my clients, what they need, so that they can then make the changes or better yet, ‘transform’ themselves into who they were meant to be.

4 ‘A’s’ of Love
Acceptance –
Can you imagine going through life feeling that you are not accepted just as you are, and not getting that unconditional love we all deserve, for just being who we are. Imagine trying hard in all areas of your life, doing the best you possibly can, yet still not getting that acceptance that you should feel and have just for being you. I want that unconditional Love, just for being me, without bending over backwards to do for and please others, knowing that in the end, it won’t make a difference – WHY? – because I need to be the one who first accepts myself unconditionally, and so do you. When we accept ourselves, truly accept ourselves just as we are, so will everyone else, as it all starts with accepting the one you see in the mirror. You
Accountability –
Responsibility for our actions. A feeling that we are trusted and that people around us are trustworthy and that we can count on them and they can count on us. We all feel good when we are trusted, and it makes it much easier to trust in return. When we hold ourselves accountable we develop a sense of responsibility to ourselves and each other.
Affection –
Did we get it as a child, and do we get it now? Does it impact on our lives now, and what can we do about it now, if we were starved of that affection during the imprint period, between 0 – 7. It is during this time when we are like sponges, we absorb and accept everything around us as the truth, and if our caregivers were not around or too busy with their own agenda, we may have been starved of that affection – that critical key to our survival, that may have impinged emotionally and physically, because without affection we do not thrive the way we should. Between 7 – 14 is the modeling period, where we copy people around us, and depending on how affectionate the people around us were during those years, will also determine how affectionate we become to others and also to ourselves.
Affirmation –
Imagine going through life with a strong yearning to help ones less fortunate than yourself. Imagine this as a gift from childhood, something that you didn’t need to learn, as it was a part of you, and all you wanted to do was help people who were less fortunate than you. There will come a point in your life where you will question your motives and your purpose if there hasn’t been that expression of acceptance in the form of an affirmation. Someone telling you that you did good and that you were on the right track.
Appreciation –
Relates to your self-worth, your values, to who you are, not just what you contribute or achieve. Between 14 – 21 is the socialization period where we are largely influenced by our peers, sometimes feeling that we may not measure up and therefore need to contribute and achieve to be appreciated, rather than, be appreciated for who we are, so that we can then go on to contribute and achieve. By being appreciated for who we are first, our value would resonate within and our self-worth skyrocket.
Approval –
Is it I who needs to approve of myself first – whereby approval from those around me will not be necessary, yet highly cherished when received.
Attention –
Do you know that it’s not only children who act up because of lack of attention? Without that important attention in childhood, we grow up to become adults who are desperately deprived of attention, sometimes not even being aware of it on a conscious level. Adults may act up differently to children, but they still act up in one way or another due to a lack of attention, either now or in their past. Find a way to give this attention to yourself and from others to be a more balanced human being. You are important, we are all important, and our feelings and needs are important also. A healthy amount of attention is what makes the world go around.
These are the ‘Seven Motivator’s to our Inner Child which express themselves through our Inner Parent, and our External Selves.

Frequently Asked Questions

March 11, 2014 by Olya Szewczuk Leave a Comment

What is happening during a Reconnective Healing session and The Reconnection?

During a Reconnective Healing session, the Reconnective Frequencies support and enhance your ability to come back to a state of balance and harmony with your own nature. Because of the vast spectrum of frequencies provided through which you may connect to your divine nature, the opportunity to balance any number of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and other health challenges is possible. Actively allow the healing process to happen, and healing can occur in an instant.

Through your Personal Reconnection, you will activate your unique potential in this world through the exchange of light and information within the network of Reconnective Frequencies. The Reconnection will unfold at a pace and in a way appropriate to your nature, though you may notice a “life acceleration” or optimization process where opportunities to enhance and expand your life arise as quickly as you allow them to. You are empowered to pursue your life path with the support of this newly activated multidimensional circulatory system.

What is it that I’m feeling during a session?

If we approach the world as a vast interaction of energy vibrating at different rates (much like sound or light)—a symphony of life—then you may describe both the Reconnection and Reconnective Healing as an “attunement” process. Both the Reconnection and Reconnective Healing “tune” you to the broad spectrum of Reconnective Frequencies to allow healing and personal evolution. As each person experiences their own vibrational “signature”—what makes a person that person—so each person’s experience with Reconnective Healing and the Reconnection will be different. Often, even each session is different for the same person.

Some experience deep, profound relaxation. Others report relief from pain or other physical maladies. Others have reported healings from chronic conditions. Some report seeing angels or guides; others experience visions, colors, lights, and sounds they’ve never known before. There is no limitation to what one will or should experience when encountering one’s divine nature. Whatever one experiences (which is sometimes apparently nothing at all), it is perfectly appropriate for who you are now.

How does this compare to other frequencies? How does it differ from the other forms of energy work used now?

In the healing realm, many of the techniques that have stood the test of time function just as well now as they always did. However, humans of the 21st century have are living in a different world than they were a hundred, five hundred or a thousand years ago—we now have more, and we now are more, so the old techniques are no longer enough. As good as they always were, within our new, expanded parameters, they are no longer appropriate—just as lanterns would not be appropriate as headlights on a car, although, for a horse and buggy, they functioned just fine. The limitations these techniques are subject to—requiring the removal of jewelry, the removal of leather, faith on the part of the recipient, protection rituals for both parties involved, etc.—are not present in the new frequencies. Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection are very appropriate to our time and the beings that we have become. By working with the capabilities and structures now emerging in humanity without previous limitations, Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection address who we are now…and introduce us to what we can become.

How many sessions will I need? How long does it take to have a healing?

One visit—perhaps even part of one visit—may be plenty. Generally it is recommended that you consider up to three sessions. And, although each session is special, often something particularly special tends to be reported about session number three.

Healings occur in an instant. What takes “time” is for a person to “decide” to accept the healing. If you receive everything you’re looking for by your first, second or third session, it’s time to let go of any attachment to what happens during the healing sessions and allow things to unfold on their own. If you do not receive anything by your third session, Reconnective Healing may not be the appropriate way for you to receive what you are looking for at this time in your life. Again, you may want to let go and allow whatever might unfold to do so. You may choose to return in three, six, maybe even eighteen months. The only time I might consider a few more sessions is either: a) if a new situation arises for you; or b) if you’ve been experiencing clear, recognizable, consistent improvement over the first three visits and it looks as if there is a little more to go. At that point, I might consider a few more sessions. After that, I would again let go and allow it time to unfold. Reconnective Healing is not about regular visits or “touch-ups.” You do not need to come in for “weekly” sessions or on any kind of an “ongoing” basis. Once you have your session(s), you “own” your change, your healing, your evolution. It’s yours. No one can take it away from you. Ever.

What can I expect during a Reconnective Healing session or The Reconnection? What’s the best way to prepare for it? What can I do to allow it to be most effective?

Your appointment will begin with a short period where you may ask questions about the work we are going to do that day. Following the question and answer period, you will lie down on your back on a massage table fully clothed wearing comfortable clothing; wearing layers may be helpful as some experience a change in temperature (warmer or cooler) when coming into contact with these energies. The work is touch-free: The only portion of the session where I may touch you is at the close of the session to let you know that the session has concluded (though the healing is not necessarily over). We will conclude with a short period where you will have the opportunity to share your experience while on the table to help you recall anything that attracted your attention, and an opportunity for me to share anything that I perceived.

Your appointment for Reconnective Healing will include 30 minutes of table-time; schedule an hour into your day to allow for the opening question and answer period, the healing session, and recall following your session. Each of your appointments for The Reconnection will last slightly longer—give yourself an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half for each appointment.

Every person’s experience with Reconnective Healing is unique. Often healings are reported in an instant in just one session, and sometimes it takes a bit longer for a healing to unfold. If you’re lucky, your healing will come in the form you anticipated; if you’re really lucky, your healing will come in a form you haven’t even thought of, one that the universe has in mind specifically for you.

During your session, lie down on your back on the massage table or whatever other comfortable arrangement we’ve decided on, close your eyes and notice. Just notice. Withdraw your participatory thought process and simply observe when there’s something to notice, as well as when there’s nothing to notice; lie there and let go, as if you simply had a little unexpected rest time.

Healings can come in all forms. The best way to allow for a healing is to proceed in a state of expectancy, without expectation or attachment—the willingness to experience something new. Place yourself on the table, relax, close your eyes and simply notice. Observe. Let there be no difference between the observer and the observed.

I would not suggest that you try to make your mind a blank or try to think of nothing. I suggest that you simply notice whatever it is that brings itself to your attention. This gives you something to do and has a tendency to alleviate the stress often encountered when trying to think of nothing. Observing whatever you perceive as out of the ordinary will give you enough to occupy your mind without getting lost in mental “shoulds” and “shouldn’ts.”

There are no prerequisites to receive Reconnective Healing—no need to breathe a special way, no need for visualization, no need for meditation or mantras, silently or otherwise, and no need to “do” anything else that you or someone else thinks will “help.” Implementing any of these techniques will simply bring about what you are able to do already and distract you from being able to enjoy the fullness and the reality of a new experience. When you are ready to let go of directing or enhancing the experience, when your personality is out of the way sufficiently so you do not attempt to “gild the lily,” you are ready to experience what makes Reconnective Healing different, what makes The Reconnection real.

You are ready to receive.

Has Reconnective Healing had success with (insert specific condition)?

Reconnective Healing has aided in healing health challenges such as cancers, AIDS-related diseases, fibromyalgia, trauma, depression, addictions, and many others. The important concept to understand is that three people can come in with the same diagnosis and the same set of symptoms and receive three different sets of results. Some of the most dramatic healings that Reconnective Healing Practitioners facilitate occur in cases where they know nothing at all about what the client is contending with. As Eric says, “Oftentimes the less the practitioner ‘knows’ about what’s ‘wrong’ with the patient/client, the better off that patient/client is.”

While many people see results that manifest physically in an immediate and permanent fashion, on rare occasion there are some people who do not demonstrate a recognizable response in the beginning. Of these, many do later on, in a few days or a few weeks. And some may not, if it is not appropriate for the person at that time in their life. Most healings tend to be permanent. Some healings demonstrate their fullness immediately; some evolve over time. It is my opinion, shared by Eric, that everyone receives a healing—it just might not manifest in a way recognizable to you at the moment. As you adjust to the state in which the healing places you, the healing becomes more apparent.

What is the difference between Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection?

The difference between Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection is basically one of intent. The intent of Reconnective Healing is essentially that of healing, be it physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or on any other level. And, of course, to achieve the degree of healing brought forth via Reconnective Healing, you will, to some extent, experience Reconnection as part of the process. It’s this “Reconnection” that allows Reconnective Healing to be so dramatically more comprehensive than the healing “techniques” we’ve had up until now.

The intent of The Reconnection is to bring us into the fullness of our inherent connection with the universe. This is done via a two-session experience, commonly referred to as receiving your Personal Reconnection. And, of course, to achieve the degree of reconnection brought fourth via The Reconnection, you will, to some extent, experience healing as part of the process.

And, although the two are not completely separate processes, to obtain the full benefits of each, your Reconnective Healing sessions and your Personal Reconnection sessions are to be experienced on separate occasions.

Does Reconnective Healing only work on physical problems? Will it work on mental and emotional problems as well?

Healing is a return to balance. Every health challenge is a combination of the physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and probably a few other classifications for which we do not have words—we simply classify it according to what we perceive as a predominate characteristic. Reconnective Healing doesn’t specifically “treat” anything. If in its presence you allow yourself to come back into balance, as many people do, then you do. You just do.

Does Reconnective Healing work for animals?

Yes! Reconnective Healing works just as well for our four-legged and feathered friends as it does for humans. Just the same as humans, animals experience a variety of responses to Reconnective Healing—sometimes physical, sometimes emotional, and so on.

Your Life – Your Way

Negative Emotions and Limiting Decisions –

Humans have the propensity for self-destructive behavior.
True or False
I have found this to be true, time after time after time.

Why is this so?
What can be done about this?
What are negative emotions (NE)?
What are limiting decisions (LD)?
How are you supposed to deal with them, change them, remove them or control them?

Have you ever wondered if there was a part of you that secretly wanted to experience unhappiness or pain, or even to be punished?

Often times your current emotions don’t have anything to do with the present situation or circumstance you find yourself in, but have more to do with something from your past. The present situation is just a trigger, and this trigger has opened up a wound that was never healed, just buried. If you find this hard to believe, then ask yourself why there are occasions where you find yourself feeling angry or annoyed or frustrated or unhappy over a minor incident, hardly worth worrying about.

Have you ever looked back over a particular incident where you felt very strong emotions and wondered why on earth you reacted so strongly over such a minor occurrence?
Maybe you have, maybe you haven’t, but I’m sure now that it has been brought to your attention, you will be watching carefully and noticing events in the future and how you react to them and how they impact on your life.

Negative Emotions can affect many of your experiences and results in your life, without you ever being aware of the reason. Everything you think and say and do affects everything else. Your capacity to think objectively for example – this may lead to wrong decisions or negative actions, which could turn inward, and you would then berate yourself for being so stupid. But were you really stupid? No, I don’t think so you were just operating with a set of incorrect emotions from the past.

These incorrect emotions may lead to self destructive behaviors, because in those moments, of anger negativity or even depression, there is a need to vent and let Mount Vesuvius blow and this either manifests inwardly or outwardly, depending on who has just pressed the trigger.

When you go inward and vent at yourself, you may think and act with spite or bitterness, and even do things that punish and hurt you. You may be aware you are doing this or not. Sometimes it is so deep, on a level that you are not even aware that you are self-destructing, until things start falling in a heap around you. This may impact on your relationships, your health, even finances.

What about Limiting Decisions?
How often in your past have you been put down, criticized, ignored, yelled at, hit, or worse – given the silent treatment?
What was your reaction? Did you take all this inward and tell yourself that you deserved to be treated this way because if you were a good, valuable person, no one would act this way toward you.

This also is a load of rubbish, but it happens and you then believe that you are unworthy of love, companionship, financial security, comfortable lifestyle or any other niceties.

I’m sure many of you reading this will relate to some if not all that you are reading and wondering what to do about reversing or correcting the situation.

I have found with my clients that Time Line Therapy with a few other modalities thrown into the mix is perfect to reorganize the blueprint of you past, and create a clean slate to operate from in the present so that your future can be what you want not what someone else has programmed into you past.

It begins NOW with YOU – DECIDE –

If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results. If you want different results, a change needs to take place.

A Study Of Human Excellence & Rewriting The Story Of Your Past

March 2, 2014 by Olya Szewczuk Leave a Comment

Story of your pastHow many times have you known on a conscious level what to think, what to say, what to do, what might need changing, yet, you just could not get yourself to do it. By using certain NLP techniques, you are able to resolve these issues and get back on track again.

Imagine improving your confidence, building a good rapport with others, eliminating fear and anger, changing bad habits, dampening down your stress levels, improving your productivity – All sounds good, but how do you go about making this change, you might be thinking.

The answer is Neuro-Linguistic Programming & Time Line Therapy.

What are NLP and TLT?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) – is an instruction manual of your mind, a study of human excellence. It is an integration of several disciplines including – neurology, linguistics, psychology and cybernetics. Within an NLP session, you will be taken through simple techniques, and learn methods on how to direct your mind in the direction you are wanting to go, instead of your untrained mind taking detours in your life.

Self-Esteem

Maybe your confidence has taken a beating over the years to a point where you are too afraid to try anything new, for fear of failing. By combining the power of visualisation and repetition, your thoughts can be changed. High self esteem and unshakable confidence is the foundation of accomplishing great things in your life, and by changing the feelings you associate to past bad experiences from negative feelings to positive feelings, this can be achieved.

Time Line Therapy (TLT) is changing the representation and structure of an event in time, and the meaning it has for you. It is a way of literally rewriting the story of your past. You may be thinking – well the past has already happened, so it is not possible to change it, and you would be right in thinking this. But, what we are changing is your perception of what happened , and how that perception has impacted your life in the present, and may continue impacting your life in the future unless you are able to go back and change it.

TLT describes the way you internally represent the past, present and future, and how you can use this knowledge of your unique, individual representation system (via a personal session) to help change a past experience, so your perception of it will be different in the present and future.

Have you ever been told that a mistake is just a learning curve? It’s true, and you always learn from your mistakes, but it’s the Negative Emotions (NE) and Limiting Decisions (LD) that you attach to the event (mistake) that causes all the problems in the present and future.
By experiencing a session of TLT you will be taking yourself back along your timeline to an event in the past so that a negative emotion or limiting decision can be released and you can then preserve the learning from that event without the unwanted emotion attached to it. It is the negative emotions or limiting decisions that you attach to an event, which block you and prevent you from getting the learning from that event to catapult you into the future with confidence to achieve what it is that you are meant to achieve in this life.

… so make an appointment:

Your Back vs Your Mind

January 18, 2014 by Olya Szewczuk Leave a Comment

Back painYour Back is Your Support System

God made your spine in the shape of an ‘S’ – strong and bouncy, and he connected it to your brain for self preservation, so that when stressful  situations come at you like a charging bull, you have a way out – although ‘pain’ isn’t really a way out of anything, it’s only a way of perpetuating a vicious circle.

When my father died end of July 2006, I woke up the very next morning with a stiff neck, frozen shoulder, and pain down one side of my body.  I didn’t know at the time, that this was my way of grieving.  I was surprised just how strong I was, no tears, or very few, and my heart seemed quite strong also, yet this pain consumed me 24/7 – I went to so many different types of therapists, and had X-rays and other forms of investigative processes to find out what caused this situation ‘all of a sudden’.

At the time I was assisting at Master NLP Practitioner Training, and unfortunately couldn’t continue due to the severity of the pain.  I couldn’t sit, or stand, or walk, or lie, – I would wriggle and cry and scream, and curse (yep – I did that too) and yell, and not to mention bucket loads of pain killers, even morphine injections.  Did any of that help? – NO – I settled on a form of treatment from a chiropractor who did other forms of treatment as well as manipulation, and every time I got off the table I felt worse than before.

Six months on, while assisting, this time in a ‘Hypnotherapy Training’ class still in pain, still believing that it will work, someone suggested I read Healing Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection by John E. Sarno M.D. – I went in search of this book. I couldn’t find it in any bookstore at the time, they either didn’t have it in store or were out of stock, so I ordered it and waited.  I was good at waiting.  My whole life seemed to be one of waiting.  The book finally arrived, so I started reading – “what is this” thinking to myself.  I was expecting some form of movement, stretching, exercise, but no – none of that.   He was telling me it was all in my head.  “WHAT THE” .. I thought to myself, and that was it for the book.

I was strong and patient and  persevered for two long, painful, very expensive years, in the belief, that it took time to heal.  With all my NLP training I should have known better, and my money would have been better spent on grief counselling.  I’m not saying that it was all in my head, because it wasn’t, it was real.  The muscles were in spasm, the ligaments tied up in knots, which were all pulling my spine out of alignment and putting so much pressure on the delicate nerves.  It was a vicious circle.  This was my form of grieving – although I didn’t know it at the time.

When you are in pain – severe pain, you go searching for answers.  You want to know what it is, why it’s happening, what you did to cause it, and how you can fix it.  The last thing you want is for some smart ass to tell you that it’s all in you ‘head’.  You want to just thump them, because you know that the pain is real – How do you know that? Because, you are the one who is living this hell, not all the crazy, well meaning people giving you advice, and telling you how you should go about fixing it.  Love them – they all mean well and just don’t know how to help you in the painful situation you are in.

A few years ago my daughter downloaded an audio version on my computer – I listened to the whole book, but it still didn’t sit well with me.  When pain came up, I would tell it to go away, that it wasn’t real and was all in my head.  Well it didn’t work – the pain didn’t go away, and I, with all my training still wasn’t getting it.  Of course it wasn’t in my head, it was in my body, although my subconscious mind was manifesting my – anxiety, stress, dissatisfaction, money problems into body pain, so that my focus would be on the pain and not on the real issues at hand.  Was I finally starting to get it?  I think maybe I was, sort of.

Early this year, yes you guessed it, the second book from John E. Sarno M.D. The Mindbody Prescription: Healing the Body, Healing the Pain was downloaded onto my computer.  I love my daughters,  they all, in their way, try to help, just like mothers in their way, try to help their children.

I listened to the new book over and over.  This time it sat better with me.  It made good sense.  With all the training I have done, I finally realised that – doctors may recommend drugs, surgeons may recommend surgery, body workers may recommend different forms of body work, psychologists may recommend counselling.

We are more than just a body, don’t you remember as a child singing the song – “the knee bone’s connected to the, thigh bone”,  – well it’s true.  We cannot disconnect our body from our mind, and when someone tells you that it’s all in the head, I think, what they mean is that there is something going on in your life that is so painful, confusing, outrageous, that the pain in the body, even though severe, seems easier to deal with than the root of the cause.  We may not want to face or even admit that it could be something else that is triggering the pain.  Been there, done that, – and would have argued with you till I was black n blue that it wasn’t true.  NOW – I humbly admit that I believe it is true.  I look back over my life and realise that hmmm – wish I knew then, what I know now.
